How should brightness be selected for outdoor wall-mounted signage at a retail entrance with different orientations and sunlight conditions?
Use the installation orientation, periods of direct sunlight, viewing distance and sample content as selection inputs. Ask the supplier to state the operating conditions for the quoted brightness and verify readability in an environment close to the real site. A peak-brightness number alone does not prove performance at the installation point.
After checking the IP rating, must buyers still assess heat, condensation and water entry around the interfaces?
Yes. The display must be installed and used within the environmental and protection limits specified for the complete product.
How much ventilation and service clearance is required when outdoor wall-mounted signage is installed against a wall or inside a recess?
Before purchase, we provide the installation drawing, ventilation direction, minimum clearance, cover-opening space and installation restrictions for the selected size. The installer should follow those documents and confirm the site conditions.
Which grounding, residual-current and surge-protection components are built into outdoor wall-mounted signage, and which are the installer's responsibility?
Grounding provisions, residual-current protection and surge protection are integrated into the display. The site-side electrical installation must still be checked and completed by a qualified local electrician according to the project and local requirements.
Can outdoor wall-mounted signage reduce brightness automatically at night and follow a project schedule?
Yes. A built-in brightness sensor detects ambient light and adjusts screen brightness accordingly. Project-specific schedules should be confirmed during configuration.
Which installation and ongoing maintenance costs should be listed in addition to the outdoor signage unit price?
List wall works, brackets, power and network provision, site access, player or platform fees and ongoing maintenance separately. Define the responsibilities of the equipment supplier and installer. For items requiring periodic cleaning or replacement, state the service interval and consumable cost so the unit price is not mistaken for the total installed cost.
