Outdoor Digital Signage

Outdoor Freestanding Digital Signage

Place promotions, menus, wayfinding and public information where people need to see them. High-brightness screens, outdoor protection and sensor-controlled cooling keep content visible as conditions change.

Where It Works

Outdoor communication at high-traffic locations

Freestanding placement brings content into the natural viewing path without relying on an available wall.

01

Shopping Centres & Retail Entrances

Present promotions, opening information and brand campaigns close to arriving visitors.

02

Transport & Wayfinding Points

Display directions, service information and route guidance where people make their next move.

03

QSR Menus & Drive-Through Positions

Keep exterior menus and promotional content visible during bright daytime service.

04

Stadiums & Venue Areas

Share schedules, visitor information and event messages across busy outdoor spaces.

High-Brightness Outdoor Display

Choose the brightness for the location.

Both brightness levels are designed for sunlight-readable outdoor content. The stronger option provides additional visibility where direct sunlight is more intense.

2,000 nits

Clear content in bright outdoor settings

A practical choice for retail entrances, transport areas and locations with some shelter from direct sun.

3,000 nits

Stronger visibility in intense sunlight

Additional screen brightness helps menus, directions and public messages remain easier to read in more exposed locations.

Automatic Response

The display reacts as outdoor conditions change.

Sensors help manage screen brightness and internal temperature throughout the operating day.

01

Ambient Light Sensor

Screen brightness rises or falls with surrounding light, keeping content visible without using maximum output at every moment.

02

Temperature Sensor

Internal temperature readings guide the cooling response as weather and enclosure temperature change.

03

Fan or Air-Conditioning Control

The system adjusts fan speed or air-conditioning output to support stable operation inside the enclosure.

IP65 Outdoor Digital Signage

Two enclosure protection levels for outdoor placement

The right level depends on how exposed the display will be to dust, rain and the surrounding environment.

IP55

Outdoor protection for many everyday sites

Protection against dust ingress and water jets supports outdoor use at entrances, transport points and partly sheltered locations.

IP65

Dust-tight protection for more exposed positions

A dust-tight enclosure with protection against water jets suits locations with greater exposure to dust and outdoor conditions.

Plan The Installation

Visibility begins before the screen is switched on.

Placement, viewing direction, sunlight, power routing and service space all shape how the outdoor display performs.

01

Place it in the viewing path

Use entrances, decision points and waiting areas where the message supports the visitor’s next action.

02

Match content to viewing distance

Menus, directions and promotions need different type sizes, image ratios and reading times.

03

Plan power and network routes

Keep cables protected while supporting the preferred local or remote content update method.

04

Leave practical service access

Ground fixing, enclosure access and surrounding clearance should support future maintenance.

Two brightness levels for different sunlight and viewing conditions.

IP55 or IP65

Two enclosure protection levels for different degrees of exposure.

Automatic brightness response

The ambient light sensor changes screen output with surrounding light.

Temperature-controlled cooling

Temperature readings guide fan speed or air-conditioning output.

FAQ

Questions about outdoor freestanding displays

How should the foundation and fixing method for outdoor floor-standing signage be confirmed before purchase?

We provide the weight, centre-of-gravity information, base-interface details and structural drawing for the selected model. The foundation design and load capacity must be confirmed by the project's qualified site professionals.

Can the same outdoor floor-standing signage configuration be used beside a bus stop, in an open plaza and at a covered shopping-centre entrance?

Compare orientation, sunlight, temperature, humidity, dust, pedestrian traffic and maintenance access before standardizing the configuration. More demanding locations can use a separate configuration so ordinary sites are not over-specified and difficult sites are not under-protected.

Can the signage platform provide proof of playback rather than only showing that an outdoor display is online?

It depends on the platform. Confirm whether it records playback logs or screenshots, what data can be exported and which events the record cannot prove.

How should energy and cooling-maintenance costs be estimated for outdoor floor-standing signage running at high brightness for long hours?

Power consumption, cooling design, consumables and maintenance intervals vary by screen size, brightness setting and environment. We can provide reference energy-consumption and routine-maintenance information for the proposed configuration.

On double-sided outdoor floor-standing signage, can content, brightness and service be controlled separately for each side?

The two sides can play different content. Brightness cannot be controlled separately for each side, and servicing one side is not fully independent from the other.

Can a technician replace the player or power module on site without lifting out the complete outdoor display?

Yes. A trained technician can replace the player or power module on site without lifting out the complete unit.

From unloading to powered acceptance, which tasks does Moliter support and which must the project team arrange?

Moliter provides packaging and unloading information and can assist with remote commissioning. Construction drawings and on-site installation services are arranged by the installation contractor.

Can appearance, display performance and platform compatibility remain consistent across phased deliveries of one outdoor signage project?

Yes. After contract approval, we lock key materials such as the mainboard, panel and firmware so phased orders follow the same approved hardware and software configuration.

Other outdoor digital signage options

Outdoor Floor Standing Digital Signage

For a fixed communication point in retail, entrance and shared indoor spaces without wall mounting.

Outdoor Digital A-Board

For entrance areas where offers, menus and notices need to be changed more often than printed posters allow.

Indoor Digital Signage

For a permanent information point where the screen should remain on a wall and the floor must stay clear.
